I’m really not sure. I use very descriptive titles that are directly related to the content, and also the extended permalinks (ie. the title of the story is in the URL). I think it helps that the-stickman.com has been around for quite a few years now and has lots of links from other sites — I don’t know what my PageRank is but I would guess it’s reasonable, since I get quite a few referrals from Google.

But Google is a black box as far as I’m concerned, I just do what I do.

I also think your job title should be ‘Web Development Engineer at Arms’.
