Oh! Thanks a lot dude. I will try IR too. J2ME apps can be deployed through IR right? Other than driver, what other softwares will be required?

IR transfer is slower than using the cable -- which isn't exactly speedy to begin with. However if you can't get the cable to work then it's better than nothing. However, if I remember correctly it was only useful for transferring files, I couldn't use it for J2ME development via the Connection Proxy.

As for getting the cable working -- well I found it was trial and error all the way so I'm afraid I don't have much to suggest. You could try putting it in a different USB port. And I seem to remember that there's some way to set the COM port that it uses -- either through the Settings>Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager or through the DCU11's connection software, I don't recall.

Good luck!

Hi, is the transfer fast enough using IR?

I also bought the DCU-11 cable. After 6 hours of hardcore battling with it, it recognised a new COM port. And im unable to install drivers on to that port. Please suggest some ideas. Thanks!
